Wolfgang Wodarg, MD, German internist, pulmonologist, social medicine doctor and doctor for hygiene and environmental medicine, explains the conflicts of interest in science. He illustrates the consequences of not publishing undesirable studies, particularly in the case of drug testing. Wodarg was the head of a health department for many years, as well as a member of the German Parliament and a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and chairman of the Subcommittee on Health.
