KOLLATERAL | L’Attivista – Parte 2
Ma a me va bene.
rivolto davvero contro me come persona.
E tornerà a casa oggi.
Buon giorno, signore. Vorrei farle una domanda. Lei è stato arrestato. Vuole rendere una dichiarazione? Cosa? Vuole rendere una dichiarazione? È un'altra violazione della polizia. Senta, questo diventerà piuttosto grande. Signore, ha ancora qualcosa da dire?
No, certo che no. Dove viene portato? Questo non lo sa ancora? È molto strano, no?
I just read it. Can I have your number? Calm down. What is this? Listen, I'll explain it to you. You're going to be arrested. We're going to take you to the police station at Marconiplein. I was arrested, snatched from the street... after casting my vote in front of the voting booth. And that really is a caricature of our democracy. That's where we are right now. It's clear what the reason of my arrest was about.
They made some false accusations about sedition... or incitement of violence and arson. Which is completely fake, but they created a whole document around it... so that it looks like there's something going on. They took seven instances where I made a post... either on Twitter or on my Facebook account... in which they say, well, he doesn't say he wants violence...
but it was the consequence of his call to action. Or he doesn't say directly that it's inciting violence... but that is what he meant with it. There are seven tweets which they find is a crime. But if you look at the facts, there's nothing. There's no substance in the whole accusation. Two of them are related to the demonstration on the 21st and 28th of June 2020.
The demonstration was forbidden the last minute, one day before. And he said on Twitter that, well, it's forbidden... but of course you are free to go if you feel like it. But stay in peace and stay peacefully. How crazy it is that me as a person that is a convinced pacifist... that I have been calling for non-violent protest very consistently... for over a thousand times since this Covid narrative started... that I am charged with sedition. It is ridiculous. It is so ridiculous that it's unbelievable. The second to the fourth week of March 2020, that was the coup.
Because they violated every basic human right. And they had this unparalleled fear porn blasting from every media outlet. It was really trying to turn the fear switch to the maximum level, panic mode. In that period I started to do research and I was already blogging on my Facebook page. Because a lot of people were suspicious, like, how can he become so famous suddenly? But because of my dancing career I had already quite a large following on my Facebook pages. I think I had already 10,000 people together all over the world.
And I started my political career, or my work as a human rights activist... with the question: prove me wrong. You state something, I debunk it, prove me wrong. And until now that has been completely absent. But the other thing, going into overdrive, trying to criminalise not only me, but any dissident. And it always is the same route. It is first Nazi, anti-Semite. Then it's terrorists, extremists, dangerous, crazy. It doesn't matter if you're black or a woman or gay.
They will go through this list regardless of where you come from. If you're against the narrative, you have to be squashed. Actually, he found me on Facebook. He was looking for celebrities in Holland that were awake, you know... who also spoke out against all the measures and everything. And then he put me on the list and then he sent me a message on Facebook, asking if I wanted to help him out. And I said, of course. And then, yeah, from there it started. Before, they always wanted to know about my love life and all that kind of stuff. But as soon as I was with Willem, they never wanted to talk about me ever again.
And they never asked me. They know we're together, but they don't talk about it. But it's fine by me. I'd rather have that, that they don't talk about me... than to have this shaming and blaming that they're doing with Willem. Because that gets really dangerous. So I can still walk down the street, but if I walk with him, we need a bodyguard, just in case. Because there are some crazy people out there and the media did a really good job of making him look really, really bad. Now, what happened is that every night we had this sowing of hate in the talk shows...
directed really at me as a person. And then you make people crazy. So I had an attacker actually in front of my door who attacked me. I could close the door and he started to try to hit me through the door, broke the glass, cut himself. Luckily, we had just installed some cameras and we caught him in the car, so the police could catch him. But the crazy thing is, in that case he was released the same day and that case has never seen a judge. And we're talking about one and a half years ago. But I am arrested. I have to change my strategy because the circumstances changed. Since the 11th of February, apparently, because it's in the file...
I have been continuously followed by police that is undercover. Why? If my crimes are on social media, what good does it do that you constantly know where I am... and you have police surrounding my building? Everything is about control, surveillance and criminalising your opponents. We went out to vote in this little town and then we came back. We were walking across the street and then two people with scarves on their mouths... they kind of harassed us. They were like: Engel, meekomen! And then I also realised it was police. And then their whole reaction, their whole body language changed as soon as I started filming.
Why does it have to be like that? You can't see it right away. Honey, what do I have to do? Call Jeroen, of course. Easy, easy. You guys are a bit aggressive. Why does it have to be like that, what is this? What I can see is that the main purpose is not to lock them up. The main purpose is intimidation and silencing people. Because when they lock you up and let you out on the condition that you are not allowed to speak out... then their purpose is already achieved, because they will silence every opposition. It came with a very high price, as we are discussing right now.
I'm demonised, they are trying to criminalise me... trying to put my business out of order, trying to lock me up, attack me... and they throw everything at me. Freedom! Freedom! Freedom! Freedom! Freedom! Freedom! I stay here. We just got the news on Twitter that Willem is released from prison. And he will be coming home today. And whether I sacrifice my personal life or even my physical life...
that is of lesser significance. Of course I don't want to die, of course I don't want to be incarcerated. But you have to be honest and look at the alternative. You want to live your life as a slave? Because that's what we're talking about. Without rights, without self-respect, without conscience... without self-determination, that's not a life. Freedom! Freedom!
Good afternoon, sir. I'd like to ask you a question. You have been arrested. Do you want to testify? What? Do you want to testify? It's another violation by the police. Listen, it's going to be quite big. Sir, do you have anything else to say?
No, of course not. Where is he being brought to? You don't know that yet? This is very strange, isn't it? You don't know that yet? You're in my office, can't you just say it? And also legitimise it, because what you're doing is completely illegal.
