The term « narratives » is deliberately kept open so that the guests of the program can be completely free in determining the social narratives they want to talk about as experts in their field, or simply based on an individual personal experience in their lives. The conversation between the host or hostess and the guest unfolds naturally as the duration of the conversation is unrestricted.
Unlike other popular formats, NARRATIVE only presents conversations conducted in physical presence of the participants. The creator of the format, Robert Cibis, has good reason for preferring direct human encounters to virtual ones, and makes this a cornerstone of the format.
Another pillar is the aim to present all episodes uncut, or – where possible – live on air. The latter has persuaded many a guest to participate in the first place, as this circumstance guarantees the impossibility of censorship – in such times.
