The director and producer of “Peace, War and 9/11” talks to Robert Cibis about the background to the project.
The documentary is the fruit of many years of intensive collaboration between Ted Walter and Professor of Peace Studies Graeme MacQueen. Ted Walter is working with his non-profit organization, the Center for 9/11 Justice, to shed light on the crimes of September 11, 2001.
The filmmaker and researcher believes that new doors are now opening because the distance from the events allows for more freedom in thought and action. At the same time, it is still so close that many do not yet feel that it is a historical event. The attacks of September 2001 are still part of our present. The activist explains to Robert Cibis what he specifically wants to achieve and why education is also important for self-protection.
